After collecting degrees from UC Santa Cruz and San Francisco State University, award-winning food and travel writer David Farley went on to live in Prague, Paris, and Rome. He now lives in New York City and pens articles for the New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Conde Nast Traveler. Farley is the author of “An Irreverent Curiosity: In Search of the Church’s Strangest Relic in Italy’s Oddest Town” (Penguin), a narrative history/travel memoir that was named one of the best travel books of the year by the Los Angeles Times. Farley is a Contributing Writer for AFAR magazine and teaches writing at Columbia University and NYU. HIs stories have been anthologized several times, including in "The Best American Travel Writing" (2013 and 2015).
